There's a stack of about four here in Maryville. Send money for me to buy and send it to you, and I will.

Well, I'm getting better. My voice is starting to go, but I can now keep food down. It's a trade-off I'll take. Meanwhile, it gives me time to work on the icon project for Queen's Prize. My current shopping list comes to $60, which just proves that I can do this inexpensively. A lot of the paints will get used for other things (other icons, mayhaps), and it's not like I'll use all of the gold leafing. At least, I hope I don't.

Meanwhile, I've been dealing with some unusual circumstances... )

Anyway, I'm going to go to bed. Maybe. Sleep is good.

I admit it.

I'm a trim fanatic.

No two ways about it.

I think I may stick this on the blue-surcote-of-doom.

Opinions?

And...this is pictorial evidence of what I've gotten done. Granted, this photo is from day one, and not day...uh...four? But, you can see what I still need to do (I will have to BADLY reinforce the neck and arms). Any pointers would be much appreciated! :D

So, I've started the surcote and have already run into problems: I cut the main part of the garment too small, so I have to make a few more gores. Bah. I hate sewing. That being said, four of the gores are sewn together, and those are at least on the surcote.

I told you I was insane.

Oh. I can't believe I forgot.

I need to come up with a Halloween costume at work again this year. I'm saving my original idea of Skwisgaar Skwigelf for the Dethklok concert that [livejournal.com profile] lost_in_mowhere is invariably dragging me to November 17th at KU (He's already come up with we all need to dress up as members of Dethklok, with Anti as Murderface, Anti's brother as Pickles, [livejournal.com profile] lost_in_mowhere as Nathan Explosion, and my little brother as Toki), mostly because long hair of any kind, artificial or not doesn't do well in food service.

SO.

What ideas do you have? I'm thinking something along the drag route, because I want to surprise people. It's fun. I was even thinking James Dean, but then again, how many people my age know who James Dean is? I asked a girl today, and she responded with, "the breakfast sausage guy?" *sigh* Keep in mind that I have certain limitations as work, including the fact I cannot wear skirts, my hair has to be put up in a hair retention device (and I HATE hairnets), and where I work is hot, and I have to fry things. I'd like to avoid catching fire.

Post 'em here, because darnit, I can't read your mind.
