Yes, I know, it screams Mistress Honnorée. It's a pewter charm (found on sale for a $1.25 at Michaels), with glass and Swarovski beads on copper wires and pewter chain.

Seriously, I'm surprised this came together as quickly as it did.

I'm pleased with myself. My cloak finally has a closure.

There's a stack of about four here in Maryville. Send money for me to buy and send it to you, and I will.

Sweet Mother of God, I found pre-made egg tempera!

Sure, it's not making my paint by hand, but it's a cheaper alternative, and it gives me a chance to work with material I've never worked with before!

Hee!

Dammit.

This means I -have- to enter Queen's Prize now.

Cathus, I hate you. Not really. But it sounds good.

So, who wants to make my birthday and get me the deluxe set? :P I kid. Sort of.

How did I get talked into submitting something to Queen's Prize?

How?

I blame Cathus. End of story.

I may paint an icon. Not sure, but I'm heading that way. And while I can't afford doing egg tempera, I figure I can get close with acrylic. Maybe.

Again. How did I get talked into submitting something for Queen's Prize?

The Shane got my old laptop to work.  I'm uber excited!

I'm also crazy sleep deprived.  I think I need to get to bed soon...but computer.  Play.  Yay!

I'm working on [livejournal.com profile] sidhes_court, I promise.  Promise!

For those in the area who would be interested in going, the show will have three performances: February 15, 16, and 17 at the Wesley Centre. If you aren't able to come, it's okay. If there is a production near you, try to go. Anyway.

I am the co-chair of the Thanks for the Mammaries auction to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation this year. What we do is take plaster casts of the cast members' (if they want to, naturally) breasts, and then the casts are decorated. Last year, I had decorated my boobs as Wonder Woman's costume, complete with the Lasso of Truth. I'm excited about this year: Bohemia. I spent four hours gluing glass beads with a hot glue gun onto the cast, and I am thrilled with the results.

We've started the auction early, and these babies have already been in one hell of a bidding war...and there are two weeks left!

By the way, if you'd like to see the Wonder Woman boobs, just let me know. I have a great photo of them, and while I miss them, I know that the money raised from them went to a great cause, as will the proceeds from our show (a battered women's shelter in the area).
