Green's an earth tone. So's purple. :P

Really though, too much? The green still won't photograph right - I think it's the semi-metallic it's woven with.

It may just be the way the two pieces photographed, but I think a darker purple or red would be a more harmonious choice. Is the trim tablet woven or purchased?

I freaking love that trim, but yeah, I don't think it's a good match for the fabric.
