I know, I haven't written about anything -good- in forever. I know.

Friday, I ate Indian food, saw a muskrat, and actually relaxed. It was good. Finally!

I'm supposed to be packing to go home to KC tomorrow, for this weekend. I'm excited, especially since I found out that there's actually fighter practice in Forgotten Sea Wednesday. Social time? Maybe. :D Plus, I might be able to bring my drop spindle and work with other fibre geeks and figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on what you would do if you were Queen.
I'd like to hear ideas of what you'd want for largesse, what style of
scrolls you'd want, etc. etc. ad nauseum. This is basically a chance
for you to put on the fantasy hat and think about everything that you
would want or need to be Queen.

I'd like this to be an open discussion for you to contemplate things
and ponder what it would mean to be Queen.

Once I can actually sit down and read the 100 or so pages of the handbook, I'll fill this out. Not that I think I'll be asked to be anyone's Consort (and I'm not even sure I want to aspire to that brand of Peerage), but eh. Can't hurt. Besides, it pushes me to actually think about my behaviour in the Society and how I present myself.

Hrm.

I'm thinking about stuff to bring for this weekend. Photoshoot and all. I really do need nicer garb. Really.

My stepbrother has been deployed to Iraq. Please pray for Kevin and for his safety.

It's a shame you're far out south now, at least from my parents' new place (which is -so- not that far from the house I grew up in), otherwise, well. Eh.

Definitely. I so need to get some more roving, and while I can make yarn, it's really, really, really slubby and won't turn the way I want it to, and I want to figure out what I'm doing wrong, so, definitely.
