Congratulations to the Falcon Heirs, Ostwald von Riesetoten and Kaye of Gordon!

Finals were Ostwald and Anton, best two out of three in greatsword, polearm, and sword and shield.

Semifinals were Anton vs. Thorbjorn and Valens vs. Ostwald. Both Thorbjorn and Ostwald had to win twice in order to advance.

Its so odd to me to have people winning that I don't know at all.

Ostwald and Kaye were in the first tourney I called. I'm pretty sure I slaughtered his name a few times, unintentionally, and that was even with me doing the whole phonetic spelling thing.

That being said, I don't know them well, either. I'm pretty sure I haven't met them, either.

I know Kaye (& I think Ostwald also) has been involved in the exploration of the period fighting manuals, and did a Queen's Prize entry or two on the topic - going thru some of the steps illustrated in the books.

I believe (by his name) that HRH Ostwald wears German garb, and I know I've seen HRH Kaye in 1480ish German garb - but the male style when working on the fighting manuals. I can't say that I recall seeing her in "girly" clothes, but I'm sure I have.

She was wearing a green sideless surcote with huscarl trim during the day and a green and white Germanic dress in evening court. She looked quite lovely.
