Jan. 17th, 2009 10:24 amYou guys move freaking fast. Yes, I'm talking about the meme about giving the arts and crafts thing. I've started, but I'm not telling you who I've started making for yet. :P But, yes, my five slots are completely closed. Sorry, y'all.
Anyway.
Have a church potluck tonight, to interview one of the candidates for priest. I'll more than likely bring some garlic mashed potatoes or something like that. Some of my bigger concerns involve the fact that he's wanting to be part time (which I suppose is fine), but how do you build effective ministry in the regional ministry when you have someone there three days out of the week?
Sigh.
Anyway. I'm finishing up my breakfast of salsa and chips. Wholly Salsa: good, but mild is well past the typical Midwestern mild that I prefer. (flavour, people, not OMG!can'tbreathe!heat!) I've been cutting the heat with a little bit of ranch, but I'd really prefer to eat it without having to do that. And we haven't found an extra mild, either...mostly because they don't make it.
I'm building some interest for an SCA group on campus, though sadly, no one showed up last night. It's okay. It'll take some more time and energy, but I think it can be done. There are enough people interested in things like Dagohir but I've been asked if there's a history club. Remarkably, no. This needs to change. So, yes, I read all of Corpora and all of Kingdom Law and all of all of the other things that we'd need to know for not only a campus group's constitution, but also for the Kingdom to deal with, as well. It's exhausting, I'll have you know. So far, we have five people who have either been to an event or have interest in a group, two of them actual SCA members (though one joined the Midrealm at Pennsic thanks to his boyfriend who does live in Midrealm). So, we'll see how this goes. I really, really, really want something to come out of this...but it will be different thanks to Northwest being a suitcase school. We'll see how this goes.
