My parents' cat Chewbacca, being ridiculously lazily cute.

The new priest did the service yesterday, and I've found I like him. He's not the greatest homilist, but he gets pastoral care, and that's important to me. I mean, sermons are, too, but I would rather have someone who is always there for their congregation and be a lacklustre preacher rather than someone who preaches eloquently and can't be reached for congregational concerns. He's not super-liberal, but he's not reactionary, either. He gets the Via Media, and that makes me happy.

We have one more priest candidate, and yes, we'll see how she does. Hopefully, we'll have a decision soon. I hate waiting on church issues like this.
