I CAN DO IT!

I'm nearly done on my peplos (!). Hopefully, I'll have a confirmation with regard to this weekend, in hopes that I actually have a place to wear it. It coordinates with my bog dress, as well. It won't be as period as I'd like, but the materials (linen, after a burn test) and the fact that it's hand sewn really makes me happy. I can sew. I just needed to start off simply. I just need to make a festoon and figure out how I'm keeping it on my shoulders, because, seriously, there's no way I'm wearing it with it puddled around my feet. That, and it'd look silly.

So, next is getting material for a superhumeral, a couple of under tunics, and maybe a few more over tunics. And, if I get really into it, eventually, I want to start working in silk. Sticking with geometric construction's best, at least for now.

Yay!
