My CT scan was of my abdominal region, I had two scans, one with contract and one without contrast. A few weeks later they sent me the full bill because I didn't give them my group number (which I quickly supplied them) but with no insurance it would have cost around $350. If they're just doing your head then I imagine it would cost less than that, possibly your reading would cost more because brains are more complicated than guts, but I'm just guessing.

AFTER your doctor gets the results, go back to the imaging center and request a copy of your CT scan on CD. The first copy should be free, and since your doctor got the results the reading information might be included as well. It's good to see this shit for yourself, my CT scan showed a 4mm low attenuation lesion in my liver, the doctor reading the CT noted this, I was never told. When I questioned them about it after looking at the report myself they told me it's probably just a hemangioma. Personally, I'd prefer to know about this stuff.

And I'm praying for you as well.
