zephyrofgodBecause of fifty-six men with an amazing amount of chutzpah, our nation is free. It is their hope, their drive, their will to succeed, and their prayer and hope to see a tyrannous government overthrown.
It is my hope, my prayer, that their original vision for this country is still seen, heard, and felt, and that tyranny that oppresses all is vanquished. I may not say that I'm a patriot. I may even speak against my government's policies. But, if I were surrounded by those fifty-six men, I would be in good company. They gathered in unsafe times, and they spoke against their government's policies in the hopes of a brand new government arising, one where tyranny would not be welcome.
Let us learn from our Founding Fathers! And let us hope that our own personal rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness remain ours.
