I spoke with Lillian H today from American Airlines' Risk Management team. She was vaguely horrified as to what happened to me in terms of me getting home, and apologized profusely.
She also asked about how much the ticket was, and the actual dollar amount, and asked for the credit card statement.
She then said that the amount of the ticket would be refunded, and that the reason I was marked as a no-show was their fault. I admitted that, yes, mistakes happen, and that I was glad that they admitted that this was their fault.
So, yeah. This gets put to bed.
