Okay, I'm back.
After talking with my stepdad, he came to the conclusion that, yes, I screwed up, and yes, I learned from it.
So I'm back online, but I can't let what I did happen again.
*sighs*
Sorry about it all, y'all.

Date: 2005-02-08 06:10 pm (UTC)One of the worst punishments I ever had came when I lied to my parents about something stupid. I was 17. I skipped a meeting I was supposed to go to in order to drive around doing nothing with my boyfriend. The stupid thing was that if I had said that I wasn't going to the meeting, that John and I were going to hang out, my parents wouldn't have cared. We thought it was cool that we were breaking the rules or something. Our leader sidled up to my mother in the grocery store a few days later and asked why I hadn't been there and that's how she found out.
She confronted me. I asked what she was going to do. She looked at me and said, "Nothing. I'm just disappointed because now I won't be able to trust you for a long time." Worked better than if she had grounded me.
