I got a call a few minutes ago from my parents.  Apparently my stepsister was not raped once, but twice, by a man her mother allowed to move into their house.  What is stopping these people from being convicted is my stepsister's either inability or all-out refusal to answer who was involved.  We are to understand that if my stepsister answers who the perps are, we have the issue of her mother's wrath.  We also are led to understand that if my stepsister doesn't answer, the perps go unpunished.

Please continue to pray for justice, for courage for my stepsister, and for patience on those who are stuck watching.

So, her mother cares more about her houseguest than her own daughter? Doesn't sound like your stepsister owes her mother anything in this case.

I know, I know.

We just can't go get her, because then Kay'll scream, whine, and bitch about kidnapping. And my stepsister refuses to get checked out, so we're stuck at this point.

That's what's frustrating my mother, in addition to Kay seeming on winning (she got awarded a settlement in which my stepdad is basically paying her $80k), and my mom's really struggling with that.

Your stepsister's mom is truly an evil woman, from all the things I've read she's put your family through and now this. God (don't) have mercy.

And I've prayed several times throughout the day for your sister, I really hope she finds the strength to come forward.

And it's frustrating the hell out of my mom. When she called me to sum up everything that happened today, she was weeping. She's nearly lost all hope.

It's like after her divorce from my father, and I was only four, then!

I really want to do as much as I can for my family, but I'm not sure what else I can do.
