zephyrofgod: (Diceage(watersugar))
Well, since I didn't go to Lilies, [livejournal.com profile] corros had planned to go do Free RPG Day over the weekend in Warrensburg. Why Warrensburg? Well, our local gaming shop/movie rental palace didn't think it profitable, and Warrensburg was the closest to us. We (he, Anti, and I) all stayed at the Christian Campus House just a tad off campus, and hung out with [livejournal.com profile] corros' brother. And found out that my world keeps getting smaller. And that I know too many people. To be fair, we did pass Smithville Lake, and I did threaten to shout "CALONTIR!" out the window as we did pass by.

Anyway. So, the day of the event, we walked over to Pine Street (probably a bad idea for my hip, as it's killing me today, and I'm now completely out of lidocaine patches), checked out the store, and I oohed and aahed over dice. Anti bought me a set of polyhedral solid copper dice (sorry, [livejournal.com profile] lost_in_mowhere, you'll have to get your own), but I told him no more, as we do have to move in a few weeks. But no, I'm not going to turn down dice. Especially ones that I've been drooling over for years.

Warrensburg is an interesting little place. It also has one of the biggest antique malls I've ever seen. Those Were the Days is one of those places that you could get lost for hours...and not mind. I even found rare styles of Doc Martens (blue and green) for just over $50, and had I not given Anti the speech about spending money, I would have been all over those. No lie. $50 brand new Docs? In rare style? Yes, please.

Then we went back to the bigger gaming store in Warrensburg, then, discovered a second one not far from the antique mall. There are very visible differences between the two, and I think one could stand to learn lessons from the other.

I had fun, and it was good to get out and see things.

Now, to figure out Raid or Trade logistics.

And what Jib is plotting.

[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: So...what are your heraldic colors?
[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: *waits*
[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: <==== plotting, you know
Me: Lord.
Me: Silver, blue, and not sure on the last one.
[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: So blue and white...good, good....I can handle that.
[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: :D
Me: Of course.
Me: And, if I can, something with a gryphon.
Me: Or a lioness.
[livejournal.com profile] purplellamaboi: Hrm....

There are always evil plots as far as my Brother is concerned, no lie.

zephyrofgod: (summer day)
A lot of people, both SCA and not, have lately been asking what my likes and dislikes are when it comes to a lot of things: movies, food, books, music, and clothing. I'll try and keep this updated. If not, kick my butt. I'm going to use this post to essentially put my whims and wishes. Certain things will be marked with an asterisk to denote things of more of a nature suited to the SCA.

Hope this helps answer questions in the future!
