It's been a frustrating day.

First off, I'm still dealing with my foot being all weird.  In fact, it's still somewhat swollen, but there's not much I can do about it.  My managers/supervisors don't seem to understand that the reason I have this is stress.  I'm not really stressed at home.

Where else would it come from, hm?

Seriously, if you want healthier workers, make it a healthier workplace.  It doesn't take much to treat workers like people.  If that means hiring more people and breaking out more people, so be it.

Apparently, they're under the impression that breaks are not required by law.

I did some ferreting.

Rest and Meal Periods: Rest periods of short duration, usually 20 minutes or less, are common in industry (and promote the efficiency of the employee) and are customarily paid for as working time. These short periods must be counted as hours worked. Unauthorized extensions of authorized work breaks need not be counted as hours worked when the employer has expressly and unambiguously communicated to the employee that the authorized break may only last for a specific length of time, that any extension of the break is contrary to the employer's rules, and any extension of the break will be punished. Bona fide meal periods (typically 30 minutes or more) generally need not be compensated as work time. The employee must be completely relieved from duty for the purpose of eating regular meals. The employee is not relieved if he/she is required to perform any duties, whether active or inactive, while eating.

In other words, while it's not required, if work doesn't want me working efficiently, they can just deal with it.

I'm so very sick of it.

In fact, I almost didn't get a lunch, and that is ridiculous.

And we wonder why I've got health issues.

Which brings me to the next point.

I got my bill for the doc's.

$236.

I'm so sending it to my insurance company. Because, honestly, why else would fifteen bucks be taken out of my paychecque every two weeks?

But GOOD LORD.

I'm not happy.

At all.

In fact, I'm just kind of ranty and in need of chocolate and girl time.

Grr.

I need a new job. *sigh*

I'm battling with my insurance company right now. I have Blue Cross. They're supposed to be the best and they take $115 bucks outta my pay every month. It's the insurance companies, not your job.
