So, any of you in this part of the country want to be mad-awesome photographers, and take a picture of me out in a field or in a grove of trees, let me know.

Anyway. Mom made the surcote, and I love it because it was pretty much free. The necklace comes from [livejournal.com profile] sanneb, and I find myself wearing the thing mundanely, too. :D And the undergown I'm really wanting to get one that fits better. I think the gal misinterpreted what I wanted, but it works for now. :D

But anyway. [livejournal.com profile] summersdream, you don't have to wait over a week to see. Yay!

SCA is too hard core for me. I like going to the renfaire, I might even dress up if I have stuff available, but camping in costume is too much. ;-)

It can be for some people, but keep in mind that you can be as period as you want, be it uber-period or modern tent and all.

(Trust me, that was a sticky point with me, too)

I wish I could see more detail. What is the surcoat made from? And what kind of undertunic or dress are you wearing?

The surcote is made from synthetic (which, when fall and winter roll around, should be -very- comfortable). When I did a burn test, it burned like poly-cotton, so I suspect that that's what it is.

As for the underdress, it's a modified bog dress/T-tunic, made out of a waffleweave cotton in slate blue. I'll try and get some detail shot of it soon.

I can take a bunch of photos for you, it would be no problem. :) I don't work Monday-Wednesday if you have time, or let me know.

Don't see why it wouldn't. :D

Should I just expect you about then, garb and all?

I agree and disagree

Yes, it is great garb, not it is not a lousy photo. You look great! If you angled the shot a little to put the light behind your head, you could've had a halo.

I have more issues with the lighting in the front than the back, to be honest. Besides, you can't see the nifty trim Mom used on the bottom hem!

Yes, I am -that- picky about my photos. You should see the ones that I end up culling (and there's a bunch of 'em).
