Instructions

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1) Cards. I love getting mail, and unfortunately, I don't get a lot of it unless it's bills. Bills suck. Duh. Anyway. I love getting mail from around the world (la la la la), and especially if I see pictures of said places. It makes travelling easier.

2) Beads! I make jewellery and rosaries in what little spare time I have, and Lord knows I spend too much time and money getting beads from various places.

3) Garb. I do historical reenactment, and garb is expensive to purchase. I don't sew well, so I'm in a bit of a Catch-22. I'm really looking at either medieval French, or 6th century Byzantine.

4) A donation to Heifer International. This is one of the charities I support (my main one is the One Foundation), and I support it because it teaches impoverished people to do something about their lives, and not relying on hand-outs.

5) Anything Hello Kitty. I am horrible about collecting Hello Kitty things, and I've done so since I was about six.

6) Mandolin music/medium guitar picks. I'm learning how to play the instrument, and I'm always needing guitar picks.

7) Polyhedral dice. I'm a geek. I admit it. The weirder, the better.

8) Create peace. This is more about hearing what you're doing to create peace in your community.

9) Handmade fragrances. I often send these to friends to brighten their days (and because we all like to smell good).

10) Pray for peace. I don't care who you are, where you're from, or even who your pray to...just pray for peace. We've got this tiny little marble of a planet that we have to fit everyone on. So, I invite you to pray for peace.

What color do you look the best in with your skin tone? And don't say black (cause that's a lie).

Blues and blue-tinted reds (burgundies, etc). Cobalt actually is my best colour.

In short, jewel tones. I like black, but you're right...I don't wear it well.
