zephyrofgodWell, I went to the doc's to get my excuse for my past three days away from work. I had a migraine that lasted for three days, and I'm pretty sure it was hormonally-triggered. I went to see Dr Carlos, who is from Puerto Rico and has a very thick accent, as Dr Holly was out of the office. Again. Then again, Dr Holly draws my blood every time I go in, so, eh.
So, I reported the migraine, and told him that I've had them since high school. I know what my triggers are, I've been on the wonderful drug that is Zomig for them, and I try to avoid the migraines that I can. This one, though, knocked me out. Puking from a headache...that's so not fun. Sigh. I wasn't necessarily poked and prodded, but it wasn't fun to have a gradual onset headache while there.
I've been ordered to do a CT scan with contrast of my head to see if it's neurological in a week or so. Then, I get to have a follow-up in two weeks.
I don't know if my insurance will cover it, but I'm hoping and praying it will. I'm also hoping and praying that it is the hormonal stuff (like I've said all along), but until then, I'm on crazy amounts of naproxen (1000 mgs a day), which also worries me significantly. This is the kind of stuff that will make internal organs bleed. This is the kind of stuff that I can't have a drop of alcohol with (which makes me sad. I like a little bit of wine with dinner). This stuff comes with a warning label...I kid you not.
Sigh.
So, please, pray.

Meanwhile, I have Vagina Monologues and the committee I'm on (it's nearly done! Yay!), followed by the performance, plus work crap and church stuff, and SCA stuff. And, on top of that, Anti's parents and brother and sister-in-law and his baby niece are coming into town the day after my follow-up. I'm stressed out.
I don't like it. At least after the Monologues, I can relax a little.
