zephyrofgodJust finished Thanksgiving dinner with my family, in all of its insane, impromptu glory.
I'm thankful for many things this year.
For Anti. We may not always get along, but I know you love me, and I know that you have stuck with me for five years. That's something to be proud of. I love you, baby.
For my family. We may not have chosen each other, but we work together and stick together. And I love you.
For my SCA family (Household and non-household...you're all family to me). You bet we're dysfunctional. But we're also proud of each other, and while we did choose each other (to a certain extent), I am always glad to see you, no matter if it's been a week or a year apart. You really get my personality quirks, and I think that's one thing that I find quite admirable.
For my church family. As a whole, the body of Christ is pretty dysfunctional, too. But, when one part hurts, you know when to come in and help. And I thank you for that.
For my friends. This somewhat hinges with the above two, as my friends are my family, but at the same point, I do want to call out that I think you guys are swell. You listen to my whining. You're always ready to hear my questions. And you put up with my crap. You guys are awesome.
For my job. You bet I whine about it. But in this time of economic uncertainty, I'm pretty glad to have a steady job.
For a roof over my head, food in my belly, and a computer to write from. 'Nuff said.
This is a short list, as I still have guests coming (my great-aunt Ruth and my cousin Joyce), so I've got to get back to them, but I'm thankful for many things. And while I don't always express it, I do love you all very much, and you mean so much to me.
