(no subject)
Nov. 8th, 2009 05:59 pmSo, I realise that my last entry about church drama has everything to do with church politics and a dying church. No questions about it.
It frustrates me, as I know that this is what I'm supposed to do.
I'll be rewriting the email that I wrote. It's sat in my drafts folder of my email for forty-eight hours. And probably needs to stew a little longer. Rash behaviour does not suit me, and does not work in this case. Also, sitting over coffee might also be something to consider. I'd love to have an object lesson in play: give her materials to build things, but no tools, as well as a long list of dos and don'ts (with more don'ts than dos), but that would be mean, even if it did prove my point. Being mean is not something that one does when attempting to take the moral high road, I've decided.
What exactly is so scary about attempting growth? Yes, ideas change. People do, too. That doesn't mean that change is a bad thing. It's just a different thing.
It's like the SW just doesn't want to attempt it because it would be easier to give up.
I don't give up so easily.
And I don't want to see my parish die, either.
