zephyrofgod: (Sick)
Well, I'm getting better. My voice is starting to go, but I can now keep food down. It's a trade-off I'll take. Meanwhile, it gives me time to work on the icon project for Queen's Prize. My current shopping list comes to $60, which just proves that I can do this inexpensively. A lot of the paints will get used for other things (other icons, mayhaps), and it's not like I'll use all of the gold leafing. At least, I hope I don't.

Meanwhile, I've been dealing with some unusual circumstances... )

Anyway, I'm going to go to bed. Maybe. Sleep is good.

In some ways, I'm glad I'm not going to Lilies. In other ways, I'm seriously bummed out. Here's why I'm glad I'm not going.

1) I found a lump on my left mastoid (that's the bone behind the ear). I'm dealing with vertigo, I feel sick to my stomach, and I know it's just not a healthy thing.

2) It gives me time to get stuff separated for a move sometime this summer.

3) It's time to spend with Anti.

4) I won't be as tempted to spend like crazy! My wallet will thank me, one day.

5) Most of my household isn't able to go, either, due to attacks of mundanity, so in some ways, it's a good thing. I'm shy when I'm in large groups of unfamiliar (and sometimes familiar) people, and sometimes, I just need to be around a close group of friends so I don't go crazy.

Here's why I'm bummed about not being able to go.

1) I'll miss a lot of good friends. Cathus, Arina, [livejournal.com profile] huscarl105, [livejournal.com profile] scooterheather, [livejournal.com profile] kewlherman, and the lovely [livejournal.com profile] summersdream, just to name a few.

2) I'll miss out on a ton of nifty activities. I love learning nifty historical things, and I'm bummed about not being able to do them.

3) I'm really going to wish I could be at the ball. I LOVE dancing. Love it.

4) I'm also really going to miss being in that environment. It's why I play in the SCA. I love the environment.

5) NS, IWT stories. I love hearing them, but it's never quite the same. I really want to be there so I have my own to tell one day.

So, for y'all going, have fun. Tell me what happens.

zephyrofgod: (headaches)
I went into Dr Holly to get doubly checked out. When I explained that they whole migraine thing was hormonal, he nodded, asked if there was a family history of menstrual headaches. "Yes, my maternal grandmother had them from menarche to menopause," was my reply. When I told him I was on Zomig before I left KC for maintenance (it worked beautifully), he held up his hand, wrote the script, and handed it to me. I also picked up my CT records and the disc with my scan pictures along with the report, which states that everything's normal. Yes, that is my head in my icon.

So, I'm good, and provided my insurance covers my Zomig, things'll be great.

For those who have prayed, thanks. You're amazing.

CT went well. I've placed my request to get my CT pictures on disk for personal records, and I'll know for certain what's wrong (though I'm pretty sure it's all hormonal, still) Friday at 3.

I'm just dealing with the frustration of idiots at my place of employment thinking that migraines cannot be triggered by hormonal levels changing, and while that's not fun, I'd rather have my doc tell them they're dumbasses and not get in trouble over it than me telling them they're dumbasses.
