Would I be considered insane if I even contemplated handsewing the blue surcote of doom project that's been relegated to the fabric stash at the moment?

I'm hedging my bets toward insane, but I also don't want to drag my sewing machine upstairs to the mess that is my house. That, and I also don't have a well-lit flat space to even think using the machine on. BTW, said machine needs a name. :D

I've done similar before. It takes a while (10-12hours), but it is kind of fun to have something to keep your hands busy and flexible while you chat or watch tv.
